This full-day program will provide attendees and understanding and practical overview of basic FMLA administration under Wisconsin and federal law.  This program will also include updates to any changes that have occurred with respect to FMLA and WFMLA.  Participants will consider real-life scenarios, ask questions, and share issues.

The program will cover::

  • Leave entitlement
  • Designation and notice requirements
  • Pregnancy, birth, and adoption leave
  • Medical certification and recertification strategies
  • Caring for a family member
  • Managing intermittent or reduced scheduled leave
  • Substitution of paid leave
  • Employer rights and responsibilities for reinstatement
  • Preventing managerial and human resources individual liability

Target Audience: Human resource professionals, department managers, supervisors, or anyone who is responsible for overseeing or administering FMLA
