| Program Description: |
Construction season is coming fast. Employees who work in traffic face many hazards. The more they understand and apply work zone traffic control techniques the more safe they will be. This program will be an informational session with practical application exercises. This program will cover: • Application of MUTCD guidelines • Placement of signs and warning devices • Appropriate distances for signs and cones • Closing of traffic lanes • Mobile vs. non-mobile work zones Participants will be educated in work zone safety principles and guidelines. We will also cover reasonable methods of applying these principles for the scenarios that city/village employees are likely to encounter. NOTE: CEU’s have been requested for the following Accredited Organizations: ISA ~ Arborist ISA ~ Tree Trimmer/Worker ISA ~ Municipal Specialist Park & Recreation Water/Wastewater Lunch will be provided on-site. NOTE: We have limited parking at the CVMIC office. Below we have attached a map with our designated parking spaces for your reference. Please DO NOT park in the medical lot adjacent to our building. |
| Target Audience: | Any employee who works on or near the roadway and has some level of responsibility for designing, implementing or maintaining traffic controls. |
| Cost: | CVMIC members may attend free of charge; non-member rate is $100.00 per person (non-member registrations may be limited and are on a space available basis). |
