| Program Description: |
This half-day program is designed for new employees who have not been through a confined space entry training program in the past. This is the same awareness training program that is currently being conducted on-site to CVMIC members. CVMIC is offering this program to provide members the opportunity to send the employees who did not have an opportunity to attend an on-site program. There are two elements to this training. There is the half-day classroom training (which is this program) and there is the full-day hands-on training program (scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Menomonee Falls Fire Station #3). All new employees should be attending both training sessions. The training will cover the following areas:
• Confined space classifications
• Regulatory requirements for confined space entry (OSHA & DCOMM)
• Atmospheric testing and monitoring
• The roles and responsibilities of the entrant, attendant and entry supervisor
• Confined space entry preparation and planning
• Rescue activities
NOTE:This program has been approved by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for operator certification renewal and represents 3 Continuing Education Credit hours.
Lunch will be provided on-site following this program.
NOTE:
We have limited parking at the CVMIC office. Below we have attached a map with our designated parking spaces for your reference.
Please DO NOT park in the medical lot adjacent to our building.
