Understanding insurance can be complicated. In any organization it is critical that all exposures are evaluated and where appropriate an adequate level of insurance has been procured. Picking appropriate coverage, policy limits, and deductibles are all important when considering how to best protect your City/Village. It is also very important to have a clear understanding of the exclusions in each policy. In this program we will:
- Review the following major lines of insurance –
- General Liability
- Auto Liability and Auto Physical Damage
- Worker’s Compensation
- Employment Practices Liability
- Property
- Boiler and Machinery
- Special Events
- Bonds and Crime Coverage
- Pollution
- We will also discuss what is and isn’t covered by each line of coverage and considerations that should be made when you are looking at self insuring an exposure
