SUMMARY:Peer Support Team Training — First Responders (2 Day Training) | In-Person
DESCRIPTION:Today\, more than ever\, First Responders need to be operating at their best on a personal and professional level. One of the ways to help them achieve this goal is to create a Peer Support Team at your department. \nWhen your department is operating at its best\, officers are taking care of each other and are better able to serve the citizens. By having personnel trained in peer support\, members will know signs to watch for and understand how to handle situations when they are first observed. The training session consists of 2 days of intense learning. Kristen Herreid and Felicia Labatore have teamed up to teach peer support classes to First Responders throughout Wisconsin\, including DOJ\, State Patrol\, DNR and several city and county agencies. \nA light breakfast\, beverages and lunch will be provided. \nPresenters:  Felicia Labatore\, Peer Coordinator – Kenosha Police Department\nKristen Herreid\, LCSW – Saver’s Hope First Responder Mental Health \nRegistration Information:  Log into NEOGOV/Learn and search ‘Peer Support’. \nPlease contact Shelley Thompson @ shelleyt@cvmic.com for registration support.
