DPW Roundtable (Hybrid Event)

Join fellow public works professionals for an interactive discussion on current trends, emerging technologies, and practical solutions impacting today's DPW operations. Topics will include new work zone safety innovations, such as rumble strips and automated flagger assistance devices, along with a collaborative roundtable on what's working well, current challenges, and opportunities for improvement. We'll also prepare for the upcoming fall and winter seasons by discussing cold weather hazards, outdoor work considerations, and share ideas on effective safety training frequency and best practices.

This program has an in-person option (at CVMIC in Wauwatosa) and a virtual option (via Zoom).  All attendees will be able to interact through the technology of our training room.

Full hot breakfast and beverages provided to in-person attendees beginning half an hour before the program.  The program ends at noon and no lunch will be provided.

TARGET AUDIENCE: This roundtable is intended for Public Works Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, and other leaders involved in public works operations. Municipal staff with an interest in public works are also welcome to attend to exchange ideas, discuss current issues, and learn from colleagues throughout the area.

Christian Green, CVMIC Safety & Risk Management Specialist

Christian joined Cities and Villages Mutual Insurance Company in February 2024 as a Safety & Risk Management Specialist. Christian earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Prior to joining CVMIC, Christian worked as the on-site Safety Coordinator for a manufacturing company for 4 years, then as a Safety Consultant for the private sector for 3.5 years where he serviced clients with all safety-related activities.
