Description: The State of Wisconsin’s “Sunshine Laws” require transparency with municipal records and meetings for our citizens. Join us for a 2.5 hour virtual event with Assistant Attorney General Paul Ferguson to hear directly from the State of Wisconsin’s source on how to best comply with these laws.
Presenter:
Paul Ferguson, Assistant Attorney General, works for the State of Wisconsin’s Department of Justice in the Office of Open Government. For over 10 years he has been working closely with government agencies, the legislature, and elected officials to understand and provide clarity under state law for open records and open meetings compliance. Paul has joined CVMIC a few times over the years to provide training for our members and is an accomplished speaker and has a wealth of knowledge.
This program will start with a deeper dive into Open Records law with a brief Q&A. After a short break the program will focus on Open Meetings with an accompany Q&A.
Target Audience: Clerks, department heads. anyone who maintains or provides records. All are welcome.
Course: Eligible for SHRM Recertification credits (2.5 PDCs)
