Please join us in providing the warmest CVMIC welcome to our newest member, the city of River Falls!  The city of River Falls is located just 30 miles from the “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis, on the far western border of Wisconsin in Pierce County.  It is home to UW-River Falls, one of 26 campuses in the University of Wisconsin network.  River Falls also attracts students looking for careers in high-demand fields to Chippewa Valley Technical College.  River Falls is also home to 26 parks and the Kinnikinnic River, which creates a beautiful destination for those wanting to enjoy the outdoor seasons in Wisconsin!  A fun fact: River Falls was also the first Wisconsin municipality to install a community solar garden and has placed a large emphasis on green energy usage with its residents.  This has awarded them fifth in the nation for green energy usage by percentage of residents!

With a total of approximately 16,183 residents and 5,862 college students, River Falls offers safe neighborhoods, a vibrant downtown, a is great community!  Our CVMIC staff has been truly enjoying connecting with the various city departments and staff members and knows this is a great fit within the CVMIC membership.  We are so happy they’ve joined and hope you all get the opportunity to formally welcome them to this great CVMIC family!
