VIRTUAL EVENT: Overcoming AI Stigma

VIRTUAL EVENT: Overcoming AI Stigma

April 8, 2026

Free to Members and non-members

This training program empowers local government professionals to confidently and ethically integrate AI into their social media and communication workflows. Participants learn how AI can streamline content creation, improve accessibility, and enhance community engagement—while still maintaining the irreplaceable value of human judgment and oversight. The program breaks down common misconceptions about AI, highlights real world risks, and explores the “gray areas” where ethics and innovation intersect. Through practical examples, policy guidance, and best practice frameworks, attendees gain the tools needed to navigate AI responsibly and transparently.

By the end, participants will understand how to harness AI as a supportive operational tool—not a communications replacement—to strengthen public trust and elevate their agency’s digital presence.
